Ultimate Female Packing List For Cape Cod
Beach Apparel
A bathing suit is a must. The Cape is known for its gorgeous summers, and I love the variety of swimming options that pop up everywhere. If you like surf and aren’t afraid of a little cold, the ocean is perfect. On the other side of the Cape, the bay is warmer and generally calmer than the Atlantic. Freshwater ponds are great for SUP action and a break from the salt. Tidal rivers allow for some fun kayak exploration at high tide. Take your pick!
Hat: Although a baseball hat sporting the Red Sox or one of the Cape Cod Baseball League teams is preferred (and packing-friendly), you won’t be out of place with a big, floppy sun hat at the beach.
Towel: Any one will do! Just as long as you have something to dry yourself off and sit on at the beach.
Flip-flops: You won’t regret these when you’re trying to navigate a scorching hot parking lot or run into the store to grab some picnic snacks! See the rest of the Cape Cod MA Blog Posts here: https://herpackinglist.com/2016/02/packing-list-for-cape-cod-in-summer/
Cape Cod Summer Cheat Sheet
Ah, Cape Cod, America’s postcard-perfect summertime destination: sand dunes covered with wild beach rose, happy kids frolicking in the waves and sailboats drifting peacefully off the coast. But there are nearly 560 miles of coastline here, so those postcards don’t give the whole story.
Best for… beach bars
Cahoon Hallow Beach If you’re ready to rock, the Beachcomber in Wellfleet is the place to head. A restaurant and bar by day, as the sun goes down ‘Da Comba’ morphs into a club hosting some fine bands (The Wailers and The Lemonheads have both played here). Its setting in a former lifesaving station also means you can keep an eye on the surf action as you tuck in to your lobster roll. Weekend Getaways on Cape Cod
There are so many amazing, fun things to do and see on my home island of Cape Cod; I couldn’t wait to get going with this post! So, in order to cover Cape Cod (which is quite big), I’ve split up my recommendations by region: Upper Cape, Mid Cape, Lower Cape and Outer Cape. I’ve also included a few of my favorite places on Martha’s Vineyard, should you be planning a day trip or even a few days over there, too!
So, I’ll start with the Upper Cape. This is where I live, so I know this region best of all. See the Cape Cod MA Blog Posts here: https://www.murad.com/blog/weekend-getaway-cape-cod-ma/
